Parent and Guardian Resources

At Gorman, we believe in providing parents & guardians with the resources necessary to meet their student’s needs.

Empowering Parents and Guardians

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS: On July 1st of this year, the Governor signed AB 104. This bill allows parents, guardians, or adult students to request grade changes for any high school course taken during the 2020-2021 school year.  All high school students that attended during the 2020-2021 school year, including graduates, are eligible. Grades of “F” may be changed to “No Pass” or “NP” and grades of “A, B, C, or D” may be changed to “Pass” or “P.” Parents, guardians, or adult students wishing to request grade changes should complete and submit the Grade Change Application form link below.  Please note, any grades changed to “NP” or “P” will no longer have any impact on the student’s GPA.

The window for making these requests closes at the end of the day on Wednesday, August 25th. Please know that these grades, once changed, cannot be changed back at a later date. It is important that you confirm with any post-secondary institution that may receive an admission application from this student, that grades of “P/NP” will be accepted for admission purposes.

For a list of post-secondary institutions that have agreed to accept transcripts with “Pass” or “No Pass” grades, click here: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/gs/ps/ab104surveyresults.asp

Complete the Grade Change Application and return to your student’s high school counselor no later than Wednesday, August 25th.  Send the completed form to Kody Miller ([email protected]) if your student is a GLC student or Dana Blood ([email protected]) if your student is a GLC SBSC student.
